Phoenix VCMC Has A Website

Welcome to Phoenix Variety Country Music Club's new website. We have just celebrated our 9th birthday and were joined by a large number of our regular supporters to celebrate our special day. Thanks to all those who came. We were blessed by beautiful weather, wonderful artists and a magnificent lunch.

Special thanks to Tippy Ohlson, Sita Emery and Kay Tappin for being the guest artists for the day. Our guest artists gave us a bit of everything. From Tippy's soulful saxophone, a couple of Aunty Sita's rocky numbers and a ballad followed by a powerful yodel from Kay.

Club Days will commence at 1pm and finish at 5pm
Afternoon tea will be supplied.

CLASSIC GOLD AWARDS

The Phoenix Variety Country Music Club's Classic Gold Awards will be held during Auckland Anniversary Weekend in January 2011.

The Classic Section is for singers aged from 40 to 54. The Gold Section is for singers aged 55 years and older.

TLC RADIO ONLINE

TLC Radio - Matamata has started streaming online. Broadcasting on 106.7 FM from their base in Matamata, TLC Radio commenced operation on April 1st and you can listen from anywhere in the world by going to the website www.tlcradio.co.nz

You will hear a large selection of local and international artists performing your favourite country songs of the past and the present.

PHOENIX HAS 1st ENTRANT IN NZEOY FINALS

Kay Tappin's original song titled "Memories are Loose Again" won the Song Writing section of The Cream of the Country Awards in Morrinsville recently and has won entry into the finals of the 2010 Entertainer of the Year. Congratulations Kay.
